Lorna’s reason to start a poetry club isn’t all that kosher, but together with friends they mash up frustrations of bullies, parents and peer pressure into a poetical punch. They also befriend Dario, a Dominican, who teaches them to appreciate their freedom and demonstrate the power of the spoken word.
