The musical follows the first Asian-American singer/comedian through his first year in vaudeville. Sprinkle in runaways slave girls, crazy Chinese gangs, and a couple of sharpshooters you get a musical showbiz comedy you won't forget!
The show was given a staged reading by Yangtze Rep in June 2016. The show featured Garett Taketa, Jacob Pressley, Jann Punwattana, Mami Kimura, Viola Wang, Joomin David Hwang, Sonia Nam, Shubhra Prakash, Brian Wong, Marissa Parness Rader, David Salyers, Angelo Leal, Jhih-Heng Liao. The show was directed by Marcus Yi with music direction by Dong Liu and Viola Wang.
